Current Leadership & Board Members

Adele Callfas

PRESIDENT | CBD/PCD/CPE/RMT
Adele is a homesteading, fun loving Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, Certified Perinatal Educator, and owner of The Hive Doula Services. As President of the CDA, Adele acts as a leader and offers strategic guidance for the Association and its members, including ongoing open and transparent communication, relationship building and facilitation of a positive member experience.

Vice President

VACANT
The role of the Vice President is to support the President in their role including providing leadership and strategic guidance for the Association and its members, including ongoing open and transparent communication, relationship building and facilitation of a positive member experience. The Vice President should be willing to facilitate Association and Executive meetings that the President cannot attend, either in person or virtually.

Leanne Bryce

SECRETARY & SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST | CD/PCD (DONA)
Leanne Bryce CD/PCD (DONA) is Certified in both Birth and Postpartum Doula support with DONA international. She is a proud wife and a mother to three children. As the secretary, she is responsible for supporting the President and Vice President with communication, organization and scheduling. Leanne is responsible for the CDA’s online marketing channels and provides all the digital content, news and event updates, as well as the local Doula spotlights.

Lauren Hale

TREASURER
Lauren is certified as a Birth and Postpartum Doula through Doula Training Canada. She loves nature, books, and most of all, her two cats! As the treasurer of the Calgary Doula Association, she is responsible for the organization and management of the associations finances. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these matters, Lauren is here to help.

Maida Ford

CLIENT & MEMBER CONNECTION TEAM MEMBER | CD (DONA) | FIRST AID INSTRUCTOR
Maida is a DONA Certified Birth Doula, and a First Aid Instructor. As a member of the Client & Member connection team, Maida is the contact for new and renewing members of the CDA, and also manages the Doula Referral Line. Please reach out if you have any questions regarding CDA Membership

Gabi Hartmann

EVENTS & MARKETING TEAM MEMBER
Gabi is a Postpartum Doula, trained through DONA international, and owner of Protea Postpartum Support. She is lucky to also work with the Calgary Public Library and share her expertise for events and early literacy. Gabi loves gardening, pottery and to travel to places near and far! The Events and Marketing team is responsible for planning and executing all CDA events, including monthly meetings and Meet Your Doula opportunities. If you have any questions, or suggestions for speakers, workshop topics or other future events, the Events Team would love to hear from you!

Stacey Tweedle

EVENTS & MARKETING TEAM MEMBER | CD/PCD (DONA), VBAC CERTIFIED
Stacey Tweedle is a certified birth, postpartum and VBAC doula who prides herself in supporting birthers and helping them to advocate for their needs. She is a wife to her fun loving husband Jon, and has two children. She is also a classically trained singer and loves Disney! Stacey enjoys putting together great events and has been a vital part of planning the CDA’s Meet Your Doula Events; if you have any suggestions for future events, please reach out.
